HS MS 12-hour Art Project

Dear KIS parents,

The Middle School and High School Visual Art Department would like to invite your art student to participate in an exciting project taking place Saturday, August 31st, 2013  from 8am to 8pm.

Students will be creating their interpretation of the school mascot, Philbert, which will be displayed throughout the KIS campus. This is a time for students to be artists without any restrictions or pressure of grades. This project will also allow us, the Visual Art teachers, to bond with our students and create work side by side.

Mr. Wood and Ms. Mullenax with be the main supervising adults, however, there will be other teachers present at various times throughout the day.

We will be using box cutters and glue guns for this project, however these are used on a daily basis in art classes without major incidents. Your child will be reminded of the proper use of these tools.

Any student in MS or HS who wants to participate in this art project should sign up the permission form.

If you have further questions, email to Mr.Wood(

Thank you,

The KIS MS/HS Visual Art Department
